Production began in August of 2016 when the opening scene was shot, which doubled as a promotional Kickstarter video to help with the rest of the film’s creation.
From there, nearly every scene of Secret Lover was shot over the course of nine days inside a warehouse in Philadelphia over the summer of 2017.
Additionally, the Lounge Lizard scene was shot on a set with all practical effects in the same warehouse nearly a year later, which wrapped the film’s production.
